Alex Gilhart grew up spectating many races with his family at a very early age. At the age of 4 he got the opportunity to wave a flag in the flag stand one night at the former State Park Speedway. You could say that moment was the start of it all for Alex. Greg McKarns gave him his first real flagging opportunity at Madison International Speedway.
