Today I got to sit down with Rachelle Chase who just returned from serving as a mission leader in Chicago. We spoke about how we can find rest even in the most crazy and trying times. God doesn't promise "comfortable." But He absolutely promises to comfort us in our afflictions, to walk with us, to lift us and sustain us beyond anything we could do alone. Because of our covenants we can trust those promises and walk in the joy of His light no matter what is going on in our lives and the world around us.

What a remarkable reunion & discussion with one of my former missionaries in Bulgaria, Elder Travis Wolsey, as we talked about making Jesus and His eternal light the center of our lives . How amazing that as God prepares the world for Jesus to return He begins by preparing us in our hearts and souls to know and feel Him . So that even as things get chaotic around us He who set the stars in the sky can bring order, light and His perfect peace to our souls

It turns out that Sharing is Preparing and in these Last Days God is most interested in how we connect with Him
and use what He gives us to help and bless others.

Our gifts of kindness, hospitality, listening,  and Sharing His Love and His Light not only brighten the world
but allow God to transform us in the process. And that may be the best preparation of all.

Wow...just feeling so much like going out to share the Savior by serving His children following this inspiring discussion today with Shannon Rasband Norton. Putting our lives in God's hands and then using what He's given us to do His work to trust His plan& bless His children is where TRUE JOY comes from. Because this is where we begin to see a little better and feel what Jesus Himself sees in and feels about each of us. And what better way to prepare our souls and the whole earth to Joyfully receive her King!

What a beautiful heartfelt discussion today with my dear friend Crystal Nelson as we talked about the power that comes of trusting Christ to make us whole. Sometimes this kind of faith and trust comes when life feels really dark and it doesn't feel like we have a lot to offer. The wonder of His love though is that the moment we allow Him we choose Him we offer Him what little we can muster He fills it with all that He is. The emptiness He makes whole. His light illuminates the darkness like a firework filling the night...

What an inspiring hour today with fellow patriot Chaunntel Pettit on enLIGHTen as we rememebered a number of the women patriots whose lives of virtue and courage inspire us to live more fully for our freedoms. We discussed the link between virtue, freedom and divine power. And how it is our thoughts where we might most effectively grow in capacity for virtue and Confidence to walk with God

What a brilliant discussion today with Tanna Fox as we talked about all sorts of beautiful connections between the temple & the telescope. The more we LOOK for God, the more His LIGHT enters our lives. We come to SEE him through His covenants. The instrument, the focus, the lens and the coating they all matter

Today we talked about the Exodus pattern of bondage and deliverance found in all of scripture. Following deliverance we often draw closer to God by remembering Him & praising Him & trusting Him through the wilderness. Eventually the promised land will be on the horizon, but in the meantime we get to walk with Him and to learn of Him every day!

We had a wonderful kind of mission reunion today with guests Saren Loosli and Deborah Dushku who were both Sister missionaries in Bulgaria when I first joined the church  Within the context of missionary work and the gathering of Israel We talked about what it means to create a feeling of belonging in our community of faith. Much of that connection begins as we learn & remember how deeply and belovedly we belong to Jesus Christ. From there our love for God and others grows exponentially.

What a sacred spirit this morning with these two wonderful women Cindy Beattie and Mabel Boone . We talked about Guardian Angels God's covenant connection Finding and feeling after Him in His temple and His never-ending Light in our lives

What a remarkable light-filled morning on enLIGHTen with fellow artist Kate Lee as we got to talk about all the ways God lifts us, delivers us and infuses us with His light. Light isn't a competition, it's celestial collaboration. As we each get to hold light and share it in our own unique way it grows brighter and brighter until the day we get to thank Him in person. Every day til then it's enough to know: He is with us, He is for us & aint no shadow gonna keep that light from shining!

The Spirit of God like a Fire was burning during our discussion today with Clark and Kathleen Hinckley. We talked about the art "Gleam and Gather" in connection with President Russell M Nelson's talk "The Lord Jesus Christ Will Come Again". So many wonderful thoughts, stories, miracles & mercies we are seeing from both sides of the veil as angels come to visit and the earth and its people are prepared to receive their King

Why does God call us to go into the wilderness from time to time?

Yes it's to grow, to learn, and to gain experience. But, today on enLIGHTen my good friend Yarley Varley joined me talk about the INCREDIBLE JOY that is to be found there as well. Jesus went there first, and when we find Him there waiting for us and walking with us we begin to feel His Remarkable, Unassailable JOY which nothing can take away!

What a heartfelt and moving story of light, healing and learning to trust in God with Steven Sharp Nelson today. Life is not easy It's filled with difficulties and trials that test our trust. But leaning on Jesus makes it a whole lot easier. We let Him take the wheel and keep our feet one step at a time knowing He's not about to ever let go or lead us anywhere other than into His wondrous light

What a delightful hour today with two of my favorite musicians Jenny Oaks Baker & Hannah Baker. We talked about developing our gifts for God and how God often Orchestrates things in amazing ways that are so different than what we expected or planned for. And yet they outshine anything we could plan and teach us so much about God's wonderful mercy and divine design. Also a little bonus about the Hallel or song Jesus & his apostles may have sung at the Last Supper which one day would inspire Handel's Messiah

Today with my wonderful friend and guest Brooke Romney our discussion centered around ways to find MORE JOY at church, in our families and in our lives as a whole. Some of the highlights from our enLIGHTen discussion included: - See something good, say something good about our kids - Taking time to marinate in God's Goodness - Daily repentance making room for greater joy - Worship as an expression of how we individually feel Joy in Jesus - Christ's Resurrection and Atonement as focal points for finding Joy

We had so much fun today talking about the Love of God. In the spirit of Valentines I got to share a some of the details and miracles great and small of how my husband and I first met. And you shared such incredible thoughts about what it means to LOVE GOD with ALL our Hearts, Might and Minds. Also what it means to allow Him to love us, to love ourselves, to see ourselves and others more and more with that perfect LOVE he has for us!

Today's enLIGHTen discussion with guest Emily Snyder was so insightful and soul-filling! We discussed what it means to truly receive from God, the kind of brokenness which makes whole, how the Savior alone satisfies our souls and and learning divine contentment while growing where we are.

We talked about nourshing both body and spirit with LIGHT and Elder Uchtdorf's wonderful discourse on Nourshing the Roots so that Branches may grow. Jesus is the root and the vine. How amazing we get to abide in Him!!!

Today we were blessed to discuss the power of God given to teach our children with my wonderful friends Wendy and Keao Daniels from New Zealand.

Oh my, so much inspiration today with Cassie Shepherd as we talked about: Our Progression, God's Enabling Power and Priesthood in that wonderful journey!

So much fun today talking with Alex Cazier about the JOY the AWE and the WONDER of experiencing JESUS LOVE. As we stand in the river of His love, opening ourselves to believe that He really is THAT Good we discover that same love flowing through us!
