The Los Angeles Dodgers are the 2025 World Series Champions! Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched 2.2 innings in relief for his third win of the series, Miguel Rojas hit a HUGE game-tying home run in the ninth inning, and Will Smith hit a game-winner in the 11th to give the Dodgers their ninth World Series title! Max Muncy also homered and had three hits, Shohei Ohtani, Rojas, and Smith had two hits each, and L.A. put up a gritty performance to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the game and complete the comeback from a 3-2 deficit in the series.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw six innings of one-run ball, Mookie Betts hit a two-run single in the third inning, and Kiké Hernandez and Miguel Rojas teamed up on a wild double play to end the game as the Los Angeles Dodgers won World Series Game 6 to force a winner-take-all Game 7 tomorrow. Was this a replay of last night's Dodgers/Reds game? Dominant starting pitching, this time from Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Ulcer-inducing relief pitching, this time mostly at the hands of Emmet Sheehan. And an offensive explosion, this time fueled by Mookie Betts and his four hits. Oh, and a reliever who has struggled at times this year looked great closing out the game, this time Roki Sasaki. And just like last night, Los Angeles doubled the Reds' score, winning 8-4 to sweep the Wild Card Series and set up a date in Philadelphia with the A.L. East champion Phillies.

Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez each homered twice, Tommy Edman added a homer of his own, and Blake Snell was dominant for seven innings as the Dodgers beat the Reds, 10-5, in Game 1 of the National League Wild Card Series. How did the Reds score five runs if Snell was so dominant, you ask? Well, you see, the Los Angeles bullpen was involved, so of course it wasn't as easy as we would have liked. Tyler Glasnow was dominant for the Los Angeles Dodgers, throwing seven no-hit innings to earn the victory over the Rockies. Clayton Kershaw must have heard us talking about him not getting enough strikeouts, because he threw five one-run innings with six strikeouts to beat the Reds tonight. The Los Angeles Dodgers offense showed up, putting up another big sixth inning to pull away. Will Smith homered, Miguel Rojas had a two-run double, and the offense scored at least six runs for the third straight game.

The only negatives were the pregame news that Alex Vesia is on the injured list with what he describes as a mild oblique strain, Alex Call leaving the game with lower back...

Emmet Sheehan dominated for seven scoreless innings and Andy Pages put runs on the board every time he came to the plate as the Los Angeles Dodgers shut out the Reds, 7-0. Future Hall of Famers Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer faced off on the Dodger Stadium mound on Friday night, and 37-year-old Kershaw outdueled 41-year-old Scherzer. Both went six innings, but Kersh was slightly more effective and left with a 2-1 lead thanks to a two-run homer from Mookie Betts, who recently got some help in the batting cage from old friend JD Martinez. Shohei Ohtani pitched four innings, allowing just one run that wasn’t his fault and striking out eight batters. On the offensive side, Ohtani hit a huge two-run homer to give the Dodgers the lead.
