This was always my favorite Christmas poem, from childhood on. I would read it several times each Christmas, from my father’s poetry book, “101 Famous Poems: With a Prose Supplement: an Anthology,” edited by Robert Cook. The anthology is considered a classic, often chosen by scholars as part of the knowledge base of civilization. I still have the book today, and from it read Clement Clarke Moore’s classic poem in this recording, originally done as part of a video for our grandchildren.

Most of them are successful at that, but at what cost to the nation? With Trump in office and a clear mandate for more responsible government, I say we go for the whole enchilada and campaign for term limits for all politicians - and probably bureaucrats.

I don’t often post video (although I create videos for a living) but this video seemed appropriate to Halloween. I created it for 2021 for my grandchildren’s Halloween. It has been a favorite read of mine since I was their age. It appears here exactly as I created it, with a dedication to my father, who enjoyed poetry, and a credit roll at the end. I hope you enjoy it!
